Over the weekend of 5th- 7th October The Langley Hotel in Tonbridge, Kent, hosted an exciting innovation in congregational care. Over 40 sanga group members from Northampton, Southampton, Norwich, Reading, Bristol and Bournemouth came together for a spiritual retreat, organised by the Manor’s Head of Congregational Development Kanhaiya Das and Prasannatma das who runs the KrishnaWisdom.com website.
The retreat included a variety of workshops facilitated by Sri Kama dasi, Radha Mohan das, Sutapa das and Gaura Krishna das on the subjects of “Connecting and Creatingâ€, “Mantra Meditationâ€, “The Power of Habits†and “Obstacles on the Path of Spiritual Life.†There was music and kirtan throughout, tied together by Guru das. There was also some entertainment on the Saturday evening, with humourous dramas and classical guitar by one of the sanga members. The evening was followed by, as one might expect, by dancing in kirtan till late in the evening.
“The weekend was a resounding success,†explained Kanhaiya das. “Everyone left feeling enthused and spirituality enlivened. The Langely Hotel is a great venue I am looking forward to the next retreat there!â€
“Thank you from my heart, thank you for sharing so much wisdom and knowledge. It was my first retreat experience with the Krishna devotees. I will remember it with joy in my heartâ€.
