Remembrance Sunday honoured

During Remembrance Sunday, which this year fell on November 13th, Bhaktivedanta Manor sent representatives to lay wreaths and recite prayers at three separate locations: At the War Memorials in Letchmore Heath village, Radlett and the Borough of Harrow.

In Britain, ‘Remembrance Sunday’ is held on the second Sunday in November, which is the Sunday nearest to 11th November Armistice Day. It is the anniversary of the end of hostilities in the First World War at 11 a.m. in 1918, “to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts”.

President of Bhaktivedanta Manor Srutidharma das, in his capacity as the Chaplain to the Mayor of Harrow, read the opening prayers in front of Gareth Thomas MP, Bob Blackman MP, local Counsellors, dignitaries, military and servicemen and woman, and 500 members of general public of the Borough.

Kripa Moya das laid a wreath in Radlett and Nila Madhava das laid a wreath and recited prayers in Letchmore Heath.
