Srutidharma das has been appointed Chaplain to the Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Mrinal Choudhury. During Harrow Council’s Civic Service at St Mary’s Church in Harrrow on the Hill, Srutidharma das chanted Sanskrit prayers, including the chanting of Hare Krishna as part of the proceedings. That was a first in the thousand year history of St Mary’s.

After the Service everyone walked in procession to Harrow School, one of Britain’s leading independent schools.
At Harrow School Srutdharma das was invited to have a tour and meet the Headmaster, Mr Barnaby Lenon. The Headmaster expressed interest to visit Bhaktivedanta Manor and the Krishna Avanti School, and learn more about Krishna consciousness.
In its long history Harrow School has had a number of famous students, including eight former British Prime Ministers (such as Winston Churchill) and the first Prime Minsiter of India Jawaharlal Nehru.
