A small flock of Parakeets has been flying around the trees of Bhaktivedanta Manor and feasting on the winter berries. The tropical birds, which are most commonly found in Africa and Asia, seem to have taken up roost in England. The RSPB estimates almost 5,000 Ringnecked Parakeets are now present in the south east of England. Mystery surrounds how the avian immigrants, the UK’s only naturalised parrots, found themselves here. All kinds of visitors are most welcome to Bhaktivedanta Manor and these beautiful birds are certainly no exception!
