Krishna Eco Farm (a project of ISKCON Scotland) is looking for a gardener during busy summer and early autumn period from 7th July -7th October.
About the Krishna Eco Farm
ISKCON Scotland’s principle ecological project, Krishna Eco Farm was officially opened 2012 and is a developing low-impact project from seed to table, which uses permaculture and sustainable principles as possible. The purpose is to grow food for the Deities, devotees, guests, volunteers and food for life programme.
Krishna Eco Farm includes an acre of walled vegetable gardens, 3 green houses, a meditation garden and installation of energy saving technologies (including bio-gas boiler, solar panels, wind-mills etc.)
Responsibilities
Working/engaging with a team of wwoof volunteers
Looking after/growing veg in our gardens
Volunteer induction
Harvesting veg in Autumn
5h service a day, 6 days a week – 30h service per week
Skills & Qualifications required:
4 regs & 16 rounds
Experience in gardening
Ability to lead team
Friendliness
Good ability to deal with people who are new to Krishna Consciousness
Hard working
