Job Title: Brahmachari Priest (Celibate Monk)
Number of hours and days: 7h/day 6 day/week
Salary: We will cover living, accommodation, food, clothing & travel expenses. We do not offer financial remuneration or stipend
Location: Karuna Bhavan, Bankhouse Road, Lesmahagow, ML11 0ES
Job description: Main duties: temple maintenance duties, brahminical & pujari services such a performing pujas, performing samskaras, preaching to congregation and working with the congregation during all main festivals such as Janmashtami, Govardhan Puja, Gaura Purnima, Ram Navami, event organisation and outreach, assisting in developing and maintaining the brahmacari ashram such as coaching and training juniors, giving lectures and attendance at morning and evening programmes.
Experience necessary: Mature understanding of teachings of ISKCON founder A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, experience in preaching to congregation, experience in outreach, expert in playing musical instruments
Qualifications required: Chanting 16 rounds of Hare Krishna Mantra, Bhakti Shastri degree, Pujari certificate would be a great plus.
