The Hare Krishna\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s return to Croome in a Bank Holiday spectacular"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>More than two decades after they sold Croome Court, the Hare Krishna\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s are back for a festival which celebrates their time at Croome and their continuing relationship with the National Trust.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This massive weekend of food, fun, culture, celebration and dance kicks off on Saturday 27 August. Everyone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s invited to take part and thousands of visitors are expected to join in the festivities.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Hare Krishna community owned Croome Court in the late 1970\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and early 1980s when it served as their national headquarters. After taking care of the estate and also stamping their own unique mark on it, the community there relocated to Bhaktivedanta Manor in Hertfordshire, which was donated to them by George Harrison of The Beatles.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Croome\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Hare Krishna Festival welcomes the community\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s return for the weekend in a massive celebration of this fascinating period in Croome\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s eclectic history.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153There are lots of activities to enjoy over the weekend and we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re really excited to be hosting this special festival at Croome,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Amy Forster, House &amp; Visitor Services Manager.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be so much to see and do, from theatre performances and <em>\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcVegi, Steady Cook\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/em> demonstrations to puppet shows and face painting. There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be free vegetarian food served by the Hare Krishnas too. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s going to be a fantastic weekend and a completely unique experience.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The festival runs from Saturday 27 until Sunday 28 August and starts at 11am each day. Croome\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s garden and park will be open from 10am and the fun and activities will run until 9pm, guaranteeing a relaxing evening for all the family.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>All the activities will be free and Croome\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s admission prices will be reduced for the weekend: Adults \u00c2\u00a35, children \u00c2\u00a32.50 and family tickets \u00c2\u00a312 (admitting two adults and two children). National Trust members get free entry. Tickets can be bought from theticketsellers.co.uk or at Croome.
